Ferrari's 2017 resurgence has seen positives for Monza, as the track has had a nice increase in ticket sales for the race this season. The Italian Grand Prix will be the second race after Formula 1 returns from the summer break, taking place from the 1st - 3rd September.
Ferrari has had a tough run of championships, failing to rise to the challenge of the leaders. This season however, the Maranello outfit has sprung out of the gates in flying colours, fighting Mercedes for both the driver and constructor championships.
Former F1 driver Ivan Capelli, who is now involved in organising the fabled Italian Grand Grix, said: "We have already sold 35 per cent more tickets than last year around this time. We expect a full house. No longer do you hear people talk only about football. Formula 1is the main discussion over cappuccino now. I really believe that Vettel can be world champion," he added.
It's been almost seven years since a Ferrari last won the Italian Grand Prix. In 2010, Fernando Alonso came out on top in his first season with the team, while teammate Felipe Massa came home in third, also making it onto the podium. Since the start of the hybrid era, Ferrari has claimed two podiums at the track with Sebastian Vettel finishing second and third in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
