Ferrari will enter qualifying happiest of the bunch as Sebastian Vettel ended the final practice session on top with a lap time of 1:12.572. The German led a Ferrari one-two, as Raikkonen ended the day in second, just under three-tenths behind his teammate.

Lewis Hamilton was close behind Raikkonen, with his fastest time coming in at 1:12.926. The Red Bull of Max Verstappen was fourth, and the Dutchman will be pretty happy to get within four tenths of a second of pace-setter Sebastian Vettel.

The track was much cleaner today, as yesterday's sessions saw multiple spins from drivers. Today, it was kept clean all round and drivers didn't have the inconvenience of finding themselves pointing in the wrong direction.

Finn Valtteri Bottas was fifth and will be looking to close the time lost to the leaders in the qualifying session. Nico Hulkenberg received a confidence boost heading into qualifying, as the Renault driver planted his car in sixth place.

Felipe Massa put on a strong showing for Williams and concluded his practice run in seventh, followed by the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo, who finished over six-tenths of a second away from his teammate. Toro Rosso ended there day strongly enough, with Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat sitting tenth and eleventh.

Esteban Ocon once again proved he has pace this weekend as his fastest time was three-tenths of a second ahead of teammate Sergio Perez's. The two men ended their session in ninth and twelfth respectively.

  • I am genuinly impressed by Ferrari. They have really upped their game this season, and I really hope they can keep it up. This track should in theory suit Mercedes more, and I still think Mercedes will grab pole, but at this rate Ferrari's chances at winning this year looks better and better.
