Felipe Massa has said that he is willing to help new team mate Lance Stroll, who has so far struggled to come to grips with the 2017 Williams.
Stroll joins the team after being a development driver with them in 2016 and taking the Formula 3 European championship in a dominating manner.
Massa says that he will be happy to help him out as much as he can, as the Canadian will be the only rookie lining up on the grid next season.
"It’s a little bit of a different situation,” said Massa. "I met him he was maybe eight years old, Lance, and I know his father a long time, since I arrived at Ferrari. It’s different. It’s nice, for sure, I have nothing to worry about.
"I will try to help him as much as I can – I’m like that anyway. As much as he grows, he can do a good job, it’s good for the team and championship. I’m really completely working as a team. Mentor is not the right [word]. As a teammate. I want to be in front of him but I want to pass all the information, anything I can see he can improve. I have no problems."
