Nico Hulkenberg says that Renault can adopt the Force India concept and keep things simple to reach the tops heights of Formula One. Renault re-entered the sport last year but had a disappointing season, finishing ninth in the constructor standings.
Now they have recruited experienced and praised Nico Hulkenberg who says that a simple approach to developing will help them grow, as it has done for Force India who have only failed to improve on their constructors standings position from the previous year once.
"Simple is good, very often," he told RACER. "Some big teams have so many resources and they get lost sometimes in the complexity of the sport and of engineering. At Force India I think we were good at keeping it simple, focusing on the important stuff and that way we ran pretty well and successfully."
The German insists that he is not nervous about starting life at a 'works' team, and he is relishing the challenge of bringing Renault back to the front of the grid.
"I'm not at all nervous actually, no. I'm excited. Yeah there's a lot of work in front of us but I find that exciting. I know what they're doing and what the shorter-term and longer-term plan is. It sounds encouraging to me."

Renault have a lot more resources than Force India so there is more margin for error
