Daniel Abt will start the Mexican ePrix from pole position after setting a lap time of 1:02.711 in Super Pole. It will be only his second time lining up at the front of the grid in his Formula E career.
Oliver Turvey will start the race from second after his lap was one tenth slower than Abt. Maro Engel drove superbly to get into Super Pole and set the third fastest time, however a ten place grid penalty will see him start thirteenth.
Jose Maria Lopez claimed fourth while Super Pole favourite Jean-Eric could only manage fifth, claiming his lap was like "driving on ice". Indeed, many drivers have been complaining about the track conditions all day, with some spinning and sliding constantly with clearly visible dust building on the track.
Nick Heidfeld set the sixth fastest time after he missed out on Super Pole by less than half a tenth of a second. Sam Bird was seventh ahead of Antonio Felix da Costa in eighth.
Jerome D'Ambrosio was ninth while championship leader Sebastian Buemi failed to set a competitive lap in his group, and ended up tenth overall. He will have his work cut out later today as he will have to climb from the midpack if he wants to take a fourth consecutive victory.
Felix Rosenqvist improved from his practice struggles and put his car in eleventh, ahead of Stephane Sarrazin and the local hero Esteban Gutierrez who makes his Formula E debut.
The two Jaguar's of Adam Carroll and Mitch Evans will line up fourteenth and fifteenth respectively, while Nico Prost will be disappointed with his effort, as he could only manage sixteenth.
Dutchman Robin Frijns will line up on the grid in seventeenth, ahead of arguably the most disappointed man on the grid, Lucas di Grassi. The Brazilian struggled with the lack of grip on the track and couldn't get anywhere near the front.
Nelson Piquet Jr. will line up on the back row, ahead of Loic Duval who hit the wall hard at turn one in his qualifying group, failing to set a lap time.
