Following Toro Rosso's announcement that Daniil Kvyat would be returning to the team next season, there are just five seats left to fill out for the 2019 grid. Toro Rosso is yet to identify who will partner Kvyat, with plenty of potential suitors ready to fill the seat.

It is believed that the favourite to get the seat is former Mercedes junior driver Pascal Wehrlein, who raced in the 2016 and 2017 seasons with Manor and Sauber respectively. Former Red Bull junior and Formula 2 racer Alex Albon is also in contention.

Williams is also yet to announce its line-up for next year, but it is expected that Sergey Sirtotkin will stay for a second season. Mercedes is believed to be in negotiations with the Grove squad over a deal for one of its junior drivers, Esteban Ocon and George Russell.

Force India has not yet confirmed its line-up for next year, however no shocks will be delivered when it announces that it will retain Sergio Perez once again to partner Lance Stroll, whose father now controls the team.

Here's how the 2019 grid is currently looking;
