After a gruelling qualifying session, Lewis Hamilton spoke his mind about the Azerbaijan events from this weekend. The reigning world champion admitted that Ferrari have the dominant force throughout the whole weekend at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
“That was close. We did the best job we could. It was very very close. I lost a bit in the last sector and Sebastian did a great job." Hamilton said. "They were quickest all weekend and they obviously have a phenomenal car this year. But I'm really happy with what the team did to get us from where we were yesterday to today." he continued.
"We are in the mix. I will try to give Sebastian a hard time tomorrow." Hamilton ended. As soon as the qualifying session ended, it was revealed that only Raikkonen had the pace to fight against Vettel today. The Finn made a mistake at Turn 16 and missed the opportunity to score his first pole position of the season.
"It's a pity for Kimi as because until the last corner he could have been on pole. This is racing and I hope next time he can do better. It's a good fight." Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene commented about Raikkonen's performance throughout today's qualifying session.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will commence tomorrow at 2:10 PM GMT time.
