Fernando Alonso and McLaren are in a disagreement over Alonso's desire to compete in the full season of the World Endurance Championship. The Spaniard is likely to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year, but also wants to try his hand at the whole season.

There will only be one-weekend clash throughout the year, with the 6 Hours of Fiji being on the same weekend as the US Grand Prix in October: "We would need to study the calendars carefully," Alonso said in Abu Dhabi. "It would be nice. Probably. I would like it."

However, McLaren's executive director Zak Brown is not as enthusiastic as Alonso, claiming that he wouldn't be able to do the full season as the calendars clash. He also revealed that there have been no offers yet for Alonso to do the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

"First of all, as you yourself pointed out, the calendars still intersect, so he would not be able to do the full season," he said. "Of course, we all know that Fernando likes to race every weekend. I think 52 weekends a year would not be enough for him," Boullier added.

"We know that one day he wants to race at Le Mans, but we have not received any official requests yet. Nobody has asked us. So I cannot comment on these rumours," he concluded.
