New world champion Lewis Hamilton has dismissed the tax dodge row that he has become embroiled in ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix. Hamilton was named in in the so called Paradise Papers, which named a series of tax avoidance schemes that varying celebrities have used under the guidance of accountancy firm Appleby.

Hamilton has been accused of using a tax avoidance scheme to get a £3.2 million VAT refund on his private jet, that was purchased in 2013, but has refused to get caught up in speculation about the controversy and is instead solely focusing on the Grand Prix this weekend.

With the title already wrapped up last weekend in Mexico, Hamilton will be looking solely to win the race this weekend, at a track where he has somewhat struggled in the past, only stepping on the podium once before joining the dominant Mercedes team, and only scoring his first win last year.

Hamilton said this on his situation: "Im just solely focused on trying to win this race this weekend. I still have two races to go. I don't really have anything to add to the whole scenario that's happening, I don't really have much more to add."

"I've just come from this great period of time with my family and friends that I have this huge wave of positive energy and nothing can really dent that, That doesn't distract me from my core values and also what I'm here to do, which is trying to win this Brazilian Grand Prix for the second time in my life in 10 years."
