Chase Carey admits that he would like to see the 2017 world championship wrapped up in the final round of the season. This year's title race, featuring Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton (and possibly Valtteri Bottas) has captured the imaginations of F1 fans worldwide.
Carey, who became the CEO of Formula 1 back in January of this year admits that he does not have a personal favourite and is not rooting for anyone in particular, something that former CEO Bernie Ecclestone did quite frequently: "There is no mould from which a hero is cast," the American told Auto Bild. "We need different personalities and Vettel is one of the great protagonists of our sport, even if he is different from Lewis."
So when asked who he would like to see come out on top and take all the honours, he said: "You mean the German driver with the Italian car or the Briton in the German car? I'm always asked and I always say I just want a good race. My wish is that the championship remains open until Abu Dhabi."

Looks like that wish might come true, both on the driver and the manufacturer sides.
