Force India's Esteban Ocon has admitted to blocking some of Sergio Perez's fans on Twitter recently. This will be a result of a number of incidents between the pair in recent races, with Perez ignoring team orders at the Canadian Grand Prix and the pair colliding in Azerbaijan.
As a result of these incidents, Ocon said that he was abused by a number of Mexican fans on social media. "I blocked them because they insulted my parents, and that is not healthy," said Ocon. "It's just a sport - we fight hard, but we're not murderers. So people need to calm down."
Later this year, the F1 circus will head to Mexico - Perez's home nation. "I think everything will be fine," said Ocon. "I never said anything bad about Mexico. I like the country, I had a great time there in the past and I have a good relationship with Sergio."
Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez currently lie in eighth and sixth place in the Drivers' Championship, and have been closely matched all season, securing multiple double points finishes and frequently battling one another out on track.

Esteban is a good kid. I hope this doesn't escalate off-track because it would sour the relationship with Sergio and Mexico unnecessarily. On-track, however, let them keep fighting (without crashing please).
By the way, is anyone else sort of secretly becoming a Force India fan?

Rabid fans are never healthy, and I can see why he could need to block some. Rabid fans doesnt, contrary to what they think, help their worshipped driver's cause, they are just a nuisance for sane people. And this comes from a semi-rabid Honda fan. Semi in the sense that saliva hasnt yet begun to run out of my mouth, and I have still not begun to bare my teeth against random nearby potential victims.
