Sergey Sirotkin will return to the track in Austria this weekend, as he gets his third FP1 outing of the season. The Russian will be in the seat of Nico Hulkenberg for the first practice session tomorrow morning.
This will be the fifth time that Sirotkin has made an appearance over a Grand Prix weekend for Renault, as he participating in the weekends of Russia and Brazil in 2016, and Russia and Spain in 2017. His 2017 runs haven't been smooth, however, with a hydraulic issue bringing an end to his run in Russia, before an unfortunate water leak in Spain.
Sirotkin has been linked with a Renault seat as early as the second half of this season in place of a struggling Jolyon Palmer. The 21-year-old raced in Baku two weeks ago in the Formula 2 support series, finishing tenth and fourth in both races.
