Esteban Ocon moving on after Perez bust ups

Esteban Ocon will not linger on the recent tensions between himself and teammate Sergio Perez. The two have made headlines over the last two races in Azerbaijan and Canada. At the Canadian Grand Prix, Perez refused to budge and let the Frenchman through.

Ocon was on fresher tyres and wanted to try and attack Daniel Ricciardo for third place. They both ended up fifth and sixth in the race, collecting nice points for Force India. However, that wasn't the case in Baku as the two collided during a hectic safety car restart.

Ocon is adamant that the incident in Azerbaijan will not be repeated: "I don't want to comment on his words except to say it's always bad when contact is made between teammates," Ocon told Franceinfo radio. "But I say it's necessary to focus on the future rather than the past. We have discussed everything so it will not happen again," he added.

Ocon clearly disagreed with Perez after Baku, posting on social media a video of the incident: "I only did that because what was on TV was only the view from Sergio," he explained. "I just wanted everyone to see what had happened. I have talked with Sergio about it and the incident is now over. We are professionals, not amateurs who have a fight over it."
