Nico Hulkenberg admits that he doesn't have any preference over his teammate for next season. With Jolyon Palmer's future in serious doubt, Renault has been chasing drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez.
Hulkenberg joined the French team at the start of the season in a bid to one day make an appearance at the front of the grid. One other name that has been thrown in the mix is Robert Kubica, who is rumoured to be making a Formula 1 return.
Fernando Alonso once said Robert Kubica was the best F1 driver he has met, and the Spaniard said again in Baku: "I consider him the best. I would be glad to see him return to Formula 1, but I don't know all the details of his situation. I read that he had a test but I don't see him as one of the candidates for Renault. Perhaps it is too early to talk about him coming back."
Hulkenberg himself said that he is not fussed over who is teammate will be, as he simply stated: "A faster teammate does not make me faster."
