Yesterday, the FIA released the provisional calendar for the 2018 season. Back on the calendar is the Grands Prix of Germany and France. Germany has had contract issues for many years now, failing to host races in 2015 and 2017, while France has been absent for almost a decade.
Chase Carey, who is now the CEO of Formula 1, said he was proud to announce the return of the two European races: "We are proud to be able to confirm that the German and French Grands Prix will be held in 2018," confirmed Carey, according to Bild newspaper.
"We wanted to finish next year's calendar early so that everyone involved has more time to prepare. Thanks to our close cooperation with the FIA, we have succeeded," Carey added. FIA president Jean Todt inputed: "It's nice to have France and Germany back on the calendar, as both have a long and rich tradition in racing."
There are some doubts overt the futures of the Singapore GP and the Chinese GP. Both races have not been officially confirmed for next season, meaning that there is still a possibility they could drop away, leaving us with a 19 race calendar.

If they could get big bucks from far away they wouldn't care less about Europe! It reality it's because little local fan demand in the middle and far east, and Bernie has cleaned out all Governments who wanted and paid for it, only for the local promoters to find out no local demand. As usual Bernie 1 and everyone else 0 nil points!
