Scuderia Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen had a difficult day at the office in Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix, struggling to a fifth place finish behind both Red Bull's despite out-qualifying both of them.
The Finn was happy with the pace of his car once he had a new pair of boots strapped on, however as the stints progressed he seemed to lose grip quicker than team mate Sebastian Vettel.
"The car was good when the tyres were fresh but we seemed to lose the front tyres. At a place like this it was giving a lot of lap time away."
The lack of grip coincided with an apparent lack of power and the Finn found himself unable to pass Daniel Ricciardo. His afternoon went from bad to worse as Vettel passed him and duly dispatched Ricciardo with relative ease and Raikkonen cut a frustrated figure after the race.
"We have to look at what happened. It's always easy to say after the race but this is how it goes. I think we could have got a bit better result but this is what we got."
