Formula 1 got back to ordinary practice after the first two sessions were interrupted yesterday by poor weather conditions. Sebastian Vettel ended the session on top with a lap time of 1:33.336.

The German was ahead of his team mate Kimi Raikkonen by half a tenth of a second, with both Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton trailing in third and fourth, suggesting there will be a fight on for pole position later today.

Felipe Massa continued to show that he and his Williams has pace, as he ended the session in fifth, while Max Verstappen headed Daniel Ricciardo, the two Red Bull's finishing the session sixth and seventh.

Lance Stroll had a much cleaner FP3 session than Melbourne and his lap was good enough for eighth, while Jolyon Palmer seems to be much happier with his Renault, ending his session in ninth. Carlos Sainz rounded out the top ten.

Nico Hulkenberg was eleventh, followed by the Haas of Kevin Magnussen. Sergio Perez ended practice in thirteenth, while Romain Grosjean was fourteenth. Daniil Kvyat was only a couple of thousands of a second ahead of Esteban Ocon, as they ended up fifteenth and sixteenth.

McLaren was expecting a troublesome weekend, and look as though they may not make it out of Q1, as Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne could only manage seventeenth and nineteenth. The Sauber's of Marcus Ericsson and Antonio Giovinazzi look cosy with the McLaren's as they finished eighteenth and twentieth.
