Toto Wolff has admitted he could miss the birth of his child in the coming days. Back at their home in Switzerland, Wolff's wife and former Williams test driver Susie Wolff is due to give birth on April 10, according to Austrian reports.
Mercedes chief Toto Wolff, however, is in Shanghai for this weekend's Chinese grand prix. "If I'm not there, she has a good setup around her," he is quoted by the Austrian broadcaster ORF. (GMM)
"If I'm not there, she has a good setup around her," I like how he makes it sound like he is talking about an F1 driver who has a good team of engineers, car and tyres for a race, not like she is about to give birth to their child.
The guy has no class, what can you expect for a lowbrow bean counter?

i feel sorry for his wife. It must be hard for her dealing with the birth of her child and her husband is not there. You know, all of this, makes me realize so much...how deeply horribly emerged into this money making thing this world is being into these days....and how much this is killing all the essence in humanity... how much this is turning off slowly all the light that was once shed by God in our hearts. I had a boss in my last job experience that was so "result-a-holic" .. and i remember him everytime i see toto and the way he seems to treats his workers. I dont know him.. but as of what it seems... he makes me remember him. Well getting back to the point... I dont understand all of this either my friend
I have been involved directly in and interested in motorsport for almost 50 years and am passionate about it all, never wanting to miss a second of the excitement,(selfish I know). I was there for the birth of both of my children and nothing on earth would have prevented me being there for that. You can always be there again next week / month / year for another race but a child birth is once in a lifetime.
