Sebastian Vettel admits that it is a relief to return to winning ways after the German took the chequered flag in Melbourne for his first victory since Singapore 2015.
Vettel was heavily criticised for his actions and comments he made during the 2016 season, where the Maranello based team failed to rise to their self-predicted expectations of challenging Mercedes for both world titles.
However, with the new technical regulations in place for this season, it seems Ferrari has risen to the challenge of toppling the dominant Mercedes team, much to the relief of Vettel.
"Winning is always great, it's a great medicine. It seems to fix everything. Right now it does, and it's been a very tough period, a long time for the team to have a start to the season like that. Probably something like 10 years ago.
"It really [is] a big relief. It's for the team. I did my bit. I'm very happy and proud of that. A lot of work spent preparing, training, whatever. But it's just the tip of the iceberg that you see. The foundation is laid back in Maranello. A big group of people are responsible for what happened in the race."
