Lewis Hamilton has confirmed that he will not be taking part in today's session due to an electrical fault in the car. The Mercedes has so far been quick and reliable, with this being the first major gremlin the team have suffered from.
"An electrical fault kept us in the garage this morning, so I've decided with the team not to drive today as I wouldn't have learned much," the Brit said on Twitter. "Shame not to drive but it's been a great few days. The guys have done an awesome job. Can't wait to be back in the car next week!"
Valtteri Bottas is set to climb into the car in the afternoon. The Silver Arrows have completed 490 laps so far across the first three days of testing.
