Manor's F1 future looks a little bit more likely, with reports emerging that administrators are progressing in talks with a potential investor. Manor entered administration on January 6th, putting their future and the jobs of many in danger.
According to BBC, Administrators FRP Advisory said they had "the start of the season firmly in mind" as they continue to locate funds for next season. Manor need to secure around £500,000 to take part in pre-season testing and the first race of the season.
The identity of the investors is as of yet unknown, however Ricardo Galael, whose companies sponsored his son Sean and the Campos team in GP2 last year seems to be the likely. The deadline for Manor to secure the funding is next week.
Manor have also enquired about running their 2016 car for next year, with the FIA granting them permission to run the 2016 chassis, although other parts would need to be tweaked to comply with the new regulations that will make the cars a few seconds faster than last year.
