Maurizio Arrivabene has clarified that he was not angry with Red Bull Racing during Sunday's Mexican Grand Prix.
Amid Sebastian Vettel's radio rant after Max Verstappen had left the track and refused to cede position, Arrivabene attempted to diffuse the situation with his driver, telling Vettel:" I know that it is not fair but calm down ".
However, the Ferrari boss has now said that his comments weren't frustration aimed at Red Bull, but rather frustration with the whole situation
"Of course I was angry, but nothing to do with the other team," Arrivabene said. "I was talking to my people, to move on and to talk with Charlie [Whiting, race director]. I was really ... concentrated on that, and you know my passion and character is like this and I become … [animated]. Okay.
"I was really angry and the passion, but I was talking to my team," he insisted.
