Today marks 40 years since James Hunt won the Formula One world championship.
In a memorable year, where Niki Lauda was forced to miss a pair of races after a fiery near-fatal accident at the Nurburgring, Hunt claimed the title by just one point after finishing third in the season finale at Fuji. Lauda meanwhile retired due to safety concerns in the torrential weather conditions.
The 1976 season has gone down in history as one of the most thrilling in the sports history and continues to to be talked about regularly to this day.
In 2013, the season - and Hunt and Lauda's rivalry - was immortalised in the BAFTA winning film 'Rush', which was directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard and starred Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl.
Now to celebrate the anniversary of one of F1's most charismatic champions, McLaren have brought back their 'Tooned' animated series for a one-off special.
The update of a 2013 episode stars Alexander Armstrong and Murray Walker, alongside McLaren drivers Jenson button, Fernando Alonso, Stoffel Vandoorne, with Tommy Hunt voicing his father's character.
