Esteban Ocon says that he wants to learn a lot from his new team mate at Force India, Sergio Perez. Today, the pair threw the wraps off the 2017 Force India challenger, the VJM10.
Ocon enters his first full season in Formula 1, having made his debut at the Belgian Grand Prix in 2016 with Manor. Receiving the Force India promotion over former team mate Pascal Wehrlein, Ocon is looking forward to working with Perez.
"Yeah I mean he's a very experienced driver," he told F1Today. "What he did for this team was really nice. He pulled the team up so much and has achieved great things with this team.
"I will have a lot to learn from him, especially in the first test. It is very important for me to see what he does, to see how he communicates with the team and how he wants to make progress with the car.
"So it's going to be nice and interesting for me. My personal target is to arrive straight away and be on the pace. I see testing really as a learning curve."
After a successful 2016 which saw them take fourth place after a back and forth battle with Williams, Force India have laid out high expectations for the season ahead, with the goal of finishing third in the constructors championship.
