Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will have a grandstand at Spa-Francochamps named after him due to and extended partnership Dutch sports ticketing company Sportstadion.nl, who are Verstappen's travel partners for the 2107 season.
In 2016, there was mass support for the young Dutchman at the circuit, perhaps as he was originally born in Belguim. The track owners will construct a new grandstand for fans of the Red Bull driver, overlooking the challenging Pouhon corner.
"In Austria Sportstadion.nl proved that we can offer fans something special and experience a race together. It was amazing! I look forward to a successful collaboration," commented Verstappen.
Verstappen already has his own grandstand at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, which will increase it's capacity from 1,000 to 5,000 this year. Tickets are already sold out for seating in that area.
Verstappen will be hoping to bring cheers to his fans around the world as many predict that Red Bull will produce a car that will challenge Mercedes in 2017. However, he will have it tough with rapid team mate Daniel Ricciardo alongside him.
