Paddy Lowe is set to join Williams at the start of March, according to reports. The Briton ended his stay at Mercedes at the end of last season after joining the Silver Arrows for the 2014 season.
He is currently on gardening leave and is expected to join Williams on March 1, as well as buying a stake in the team's shares. Lowe has been linked to Williams for many weeks now, with some reports suggesting he will not just fill the role that Pat Symonds left when he departed from Williams after the 2016 season.
It is suggested that Lowe will join Williams’ main board of directors alongside deputy team principal Claire Williams, group CEO Mike O'Driscoll and non-executive chairman Nick Rose.
Lowe began his Formula One career at Williams back in 1980's and the team will be hoping his knowledge from working at the dominant Mercedes team can lift them from fifth in the championship for next season.
