Jenson Button is sporting a special helmet design for his final Grand Prix this weekend.
The design is the same as his regular one but features the slogan "The journey is the reward" on either side. It also incorperates a different colour scheme, akin to the one he wore during his championship winning year in 2009.
Additionally, it features a pink stripe around the circumference, in tribute to Button's father, who famously regularly wore a pink shirt in the F1 paddock.
I go into this Grand Prix with the mindset that it's my last race in F1 so I thought I'd bring back some memories from my World Championship winning year with a little hint of Pink for papa. I think it looks absolutely awesome, hope you guys do too. 'We arrive into F1 with dreams and leave with memories' #JB22 #thejourneyisthereward #pinkforpapa design and 🎨 by Uffe Design 👌🏽
Sebastian Vettel is also wearing a slightly altered helmet this weekend, with the white of his typically simple helmet being replaced by "hologram, flake and chrome [that] is meant to create an effect both in sunlight as well as under artificial light."
