Sergio Perez has confirmed he will remain at Force India next season.
The Mexican had held off confirming his stay at the Silverstone-based team, despite having a contract with them for 2017.
Perez had been linked with moves to Renault, Williams, and Haas and had constantly insisted that his future was in the hands of his commercial backers, despite Force India's claims to the contrary.
But now the former McLaren driver has confirmed that no such move will be happening.
"I'm going to continue with Sahara Force India," said Perez in a statement. "I'm really happy and proud of being part of this great team."
"I'm very grateful with the team that gives me the opportunity to continue my career with them, and all my Mexican sponsors," he added.
The confirmation is only for 2017, however, still leaving the door open for a rumoured switch to Ferrari in 2018.
