Honda has spent two engine upgrade tokens ahead of this weekend's Malaysia Grand Prix.
The upgrade, which will see improvements to the block and exhaust, will be used exclusively by Fernando Alonso in practice to gain data, before replacing the engine on Saturday. That will incur a penalty but Honda was keen to avoid taking a penalty at the next round in Japan.
Jenson Button is set to get the latest engine in Austin for the United States Grand Prix later this month, but he too will have to take a penalty.
The latest upgrade leaves Honda with one engine development token left for the season, although they are unlikely to introduce further upgrades.
