Former Formula One driver Robert Kubica is looking to make more circuit racing outings after a return this year.

The Pole was forced to cut his F1 career short after a rallying accident in 2011 left him fighting for his life.

Since then, he was competed in the World Rally Championship, winning the WRC2 title in 2013, and returned to the track this year with outings in the Mugello 12 hour race in March, and the Renault Sport Trophy race at Spa last weekend where he finished on the podium.

"It was the first time since 2010 that I raced on a circuit," said Kubica, who has also tested DTM machinery since leaving F1.

After being invited by Renault team boss Frederic Vasseur, Kubica prepared for his Renault Sport Trophy outing in the F1 team's simulator.

"I wanted to know where I was," Kubica said, "and how my body will react on a race weekend. It's a real test."

"I wanted to see if I can race on a circuit in an entirely professional manner. Then I will decide my future according to what I am capable of."

He also previously tested in Mercedes' simulator in 2013.

Looking forward, Kubica has said he is already making plans for a full-time return to circuit racing, having called time on his WRC career earlier this year.

"For next year, I have two projects in mind," he said."But what is certain is that there is a 90 per cent chance that I'll be back on a circuit."
He admitted that endurance racing could be a possibility, having previously discounting the discipline.

"I admit that I was not very interested in endurance previously, but now it is different," said Kubica. "And the 24 hours of Le Mans represents the pinnacle."
