Rumours of a switch to Renault for Carlos Sainz are continuing in Singapore

The speculation that Sainz could move to the French factory team in return for an engine discount for Toro Rosso have been around for quite some time but despite being denied by Sainz in the past, it looks as though the talk has once again picked up.

"There are rumours, but if you worried about all the rumours in formula one at this time of the year, I think there would be no time to sleep," Sainz, is quoted by Mundo Deportivo newspaper.

Renault's apparent interest in Sainz comes despite the fact that he is contracted with Toro Rosso for next year.

"I have the impression that other people think it's easy to beat your team mate and especially if it's Kvyat -- but it's not easy," said Sainz

Kvyat is another driver linked with a switch to Renault, with Russian media speaking of a potential move.

However, the young Russian is focused on the job at hand, as his immediate F1 future remains in doubt.

"Right now I'm in the Formula One paddock and I'm fully focused on my work," Kvyat said in Singapore.

"Of course, life can change in a lot of different ways, but I like what I'm doing now and ideally I would not want to change anything.

"It will depend on how events will unfold," he added.

rumours like this will continue till the start of next season.
unless there will be a partial teamswap included with the driver, nothing drastically will happen.
