Nico Rosberg has won the Italian Grand Prix by a comfortable margin over his team-mate. Rosberg drove a composed race to claim his 21st race win and 50th podium finish.

Hamilton finished in second place after getting bogged down and dropping to sixth after the first corner. He came back to overtake the cars ahead and keep the gap to his team-mate to two points.

Sebastain Vettel gave the tifosi something to cheer about as he came home in third in the Ferrari. His team-mate Kimi Raikkonen finished behind him in fourth.   Daniel Ricciardo was fifth, comfortably ahead of the Williams of Valtteri Bottas who was sixth.

Max Verstappen crawled back to seventh after a horror start which saw him drop multiple positions. Sergio Perez finished in eight ahead of the Williams of Felipe Massa who announced earlier this week he would be retiring. Taking the final point was the Force India of Nico Hulkenberg.

  • A decent race, seems like the curse of the pole sitting Mercedes struck once again. Singapore will be very interesting, methinks.
