Mercedes' Toto Wolff has said that his team must not get complacent if they are to take their third consecutive drivers' and constructors' titles.
The German manufacturer has been the dominant force since 2014 and although Ferrari and Red Bull have grown more competitive over the last two seasons, they remain quite a way off Mercedes. However, Wolff has said that his team must not fall into the trap of thinking that they've already won again.
"If you have that attitude you will be beaten," he said. "You need to see the threat, and you need to be conscious that at any track somebody could do a better job."
As well as staying focused with this year's championship, Wolff said that the team have to look at next year closely, in order to remain a front runner.
"You must keep in mind that next season is important, and the change of regulations is important, so you're trying to stay pretty unemotional about the situation. Just deploy the best possible engineering, the way we prepare for the race, the way we execute the race and the trackside engineering," he said. "Equally, the team in the UK needs to work as hard as possible for next year and not get drawn into 2016. That is a constant balance."
