Force India driver Sergio Pérez could switch teams next year, with Renault courting the Mexican's interest, according to Brazil's Globo.
Force India's team principal Vijay Mallya said at Silverstone that Perez is under contract with the Indian team next year, but nevertheless Perez would not say whether he was still driving for the same team next year.
Before Kimi Raikkonen extended his contract, was also an option for Ferrari Perez. "Of course you hope for a phone call, because there were so many rumours," he said about the Ferrari link
"From the outside it seemed that Kimi was not doing the right results but the team knows more about what is happening with its drivers," he said. "Ferrari is a team that is not as competitive as they want -- we all want to see them fighting for victories. I think now they live a difficult moment, we heard that James (Allison) will leave and maybe to go Renault, I don't know."
When quizzed about the speculation linking him to Renault, the 26-year-old refused to play down the link.
"It is definitely an interesting team," he admitted. "They are not going through a good time, but if they will be competitive then it may be an interesting option. I want to be world champion."

As it stands it would be a downgrade, but who knows? Maybe they'll climb a few places next year.
