Lewis Hamilton's second free practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix has ended early after a heavy crash.
The Brit lost control of his Mercedes at turn 11, hitting the wall and registering a 10.4G impact.
The reigning world champion was uninjured in the incident but was taken to the circuit medical centre as a precaution. He spent less than 10 minutes there however, and waved to fans after leaving.
Mercedes meanwhile have confirmed that he will not return to the track today because the car needs to be inspected after the incident.
UPDATE: #FP2 over for @LewisHamilton. Although he made it back to garage, car needs to be fully stripped & checked after impact with barrier
