Lewis Hamilton remained on top in second practice for the European Grand Prix in Azerbaijan as Mercedes-powered competitors dominated the session.
Hamilton's time of one minute 44.223 was 0.690 seconds faster than his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg who stopped on track with 22 minutes of the session remaining.
Sergio Perez was third, 1.1 seconds adrift of Hamilton, with team mate Nico Hulkenberg in fifth. William's Valtteri Bottas split the two Force Indias.
The fastest non-Mercedes runner was Carlos Sainz in the Toro Rosso equipped with a year-old Ferrari engine. The Spaniard expected to struggle thanks to his car's power disadvantage but he set a time of one minute 46.027, 0.041 seconds faster than Red Bull's Max Verstappen and the works Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel which is running the latest specification engine.
