The Scuderia have launched their 2013 contender, the STR8, at the Jerez track, before the first day of pre-season testing tomorrow. The Italian team has retained both drivers
Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne, for the 2013 season.
Franz Tost, the team boss, said, Its very emotional, the team has worked with a very high level of effort to come up with a great car and met the high expectations for this year.
The goal is to finish sixth in the constructors championship. The STR8 is the first car under
James Key and Luca Furbatto.
Both drivers did a really good job last year, and Im convinced if we supply them with a good car theyll come up with surprise results.
The team will use the
Ferrari engine for the 7th consecutive season, and also have a vanity panel to remove the stepped nose.
Come back tomorrow for live updates from the pre-season testing session at Jerez!
