It appears that Pascal Wehrlein is going to join Sauber after his parent team Mercedes deem him not ready to fill Nico Rosberg's shoes.
The German made his Formula One debut last season and impressed many around the paddock, especially with his point finish in Austria.
After Nico Rosberg retired it seemed that Wehrlein was destined to be the man to move up into Mercedes. However, the Silver Arrows clearly don't feel that he has enough experience to compete for a top team just yet.
This leaves the future of Felipe Nasr in much doubt. With Felipe Massa rumoured to be coming out of retirement and joining Williams, Nasr must look to Manor in order to find himself a race seat for next year.
If Wehrlein does sign for Sauber, it means Manor will have a completely new line up for the third consecutive year as Esteban Ocon confirmed earlier in the year he is joining Force India.
