Vettel takes home the Hungarian Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel came out first in this year's Hungarian Grand Prix. Vettel and his fellow Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen managed a superb overtaking of the two front locking Mercedes drivers Hamilton and Rosberg. While Vettel managed to hold the first place during the entire race, Raikkonen's car suffered from a hybrid engine problem, and he were forced to retire. Nico Rosberg also managed to overtake Hamilton like the two Ferraris but didnt find the pace to overtake them. He held his third, and after Raikkonen's retirement second, place until he recieved a tyre puncture from a minor collision with the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo. The collision were labeled as a racing incident and neither driver were penalised.

Despite showing good form on the Hungaroring the whole weekend, Hamilton could not manage to keep his pole, and went from first place to fourth right after the first corner. After running off the track, and recieving a penalty from a collision with Ricciardo, Hamilton were forced to struggle all the way from twelfth place up to sixth.

Williams did not have a good race, with Massa getting a five second penalty for parking in the wrong grid place before the start of the race. Neither driver scored any points.

Nico Hulkenberg had a good race, until his front wing disintegrated and he ran off the pit straight into a tyre barrier. He escaped the crash with no injuries. The other Force India of Perez suffered similar bad luck, being first pushed off the track by Pastor Maldonado from Lotus and then suffering from brake problems, and he too had to retire.

Both Red Bull drivers managed podium places, with Daniil Kvyat scoring a second spot, his career best so far, and Ricciardo managing to keep up his pace despite being involved in incidents with both of Mercedes' drivers. Max Verstappen from Red Bull's daughter team Toro Rosso also managed a career best, a fourth place. His team mate Carlos Sainz were right behind him until his engine failed, and he had to retire.
Button and Alonso both managed to score points today, with Button ending up ninth while Alonso managed a fifth, marking the best performance of the season for the new McLaren Honda partnership. Also scoring a point today was Sauber's Marcus Ericsson, despite Sauber struggling with pace on the Hungaroring. Maldonado had several disputes with drivers today and ended up in thirteenth, right between the two Williams drivers. His team mate Grosjean finished seventh.

The memory of twenty five year old Jules Bianchi were honoured before the start of the race, and Vettel, Kvyat and Ricciardo all honoured the late Marussia driver when interviewed at the podium. Vettel also dedicated his victory to Bianchi.
"It is an incredible day, but this victory is for Jules. It has been an incredibly tough week and for all of us it has been very difficult, I think everyone at Ferrari knows sooner or later he would have been part of this team." he said as he were interviewed at the podium."

Drivers who did not finish the race were Nico Hulkenberg, Sergio Perez, Kimi Raikkonen, and Carlos Sainz.
