Max Verstappen will test two this week for Scuderia Toro Rosso. Tonight he will visit the
Red Bull Racing garage to have a seat fitting in the RB11 of the Austrian team, sources have told us.
His manager Raymond Vermeulen confirms the seat fitting but hurries to bring down speculations: "It's correct that Max has a seat fitting for Red Bull Racing, but there's nothing more to it. At Red Bull it is standard procedure that all the drivers make seats for all their cars."
Verstappen has impressed a lot since signing for Toro Rosso. We expect the seat at Red Bull Racing will be made at precaution, in case something happens to the regular drivers Ricciardo or Kvyat. It's not unlikely that Max Verstappen will serve as a third and reserve driver, although it's not officially confirmed.

I thought the reserve driver was Sebatien Buemi. I don't recall all of the drivers getting seat fittings for all of the cars ever before. Sounds like they got busted doing the fitting on Max, with the plan to put him into the 3rd/reserve driver role and didn't want to take any flack for it, so came up with a BS excuse.
